New HQ Stair, West Kowloon Cultural Development Authority, Hong Kong
PCE designed this four-level suspended feature staircase for the headquarters of WKCDA in their new P39 building. Thanks to a delay in the main building contract, PCE were able to design modifications to the original floor slab to create the slab opening and strengthening for adoption by the main contract engineer to avoid subsequent formation of the openings in the fit-out construction stage.
