Golden Monkey, Hong Kong
This unusual artwork comprised of inflatable metallic fabric cut to create the form of a 14m tall climbing monkey fixed to the glass façade of a tall building during the Hong Kong ‘Business of Design’ week. In this project weight was not a concern but stability under wind loading and transfer of variable forces into the façade by concealed active suction cups was the main consideration.
