Feature Stair, Spaces co-sharing office by Regus, Sun House, Hong Kong
This two-level feature stair was required to be a focus within the common space of this co-sharing office facility. We developed a fully suspended stringer-less open-tread design with the stair flights hung from a concealed framework beneath the upper soffit. The tread connection to the rods was designed to accommodate installation tolerances and a novel disc spring tensioning solution was developed to prevent the risk of slack rods in the event of uneven loading or long-term creep between floors.
