PCE were initially appointed to review and assist the local team with the design and detailing of the free-spanning three-flight dog-leg staircase fully clad in GFRC with tight joint tolerances. A revised approach to the design and detailing was proposed by PCE and adopted with section sizes reduced, a revised approach to the intermediate landing tuned mass damper and measures to address the GFRC tolerance and blind hanging.
