Apple IFC Store Expansion, Hong Kong
PCE provided full structural design and RSE services associated with the third-floor expansion of this flagship store. As the store is located on fully suspended structure above the highway, innovative slab opening and hybrid plate strengthening was required for a new stainless-steel dog-leg customer stair. In addition to conventional internal store works, a new façade comprised of four 3x9m glass panels were designed to give an obstruction-free view over the surrounding landscape.
