Louis Vuitton Changi Airport Terminal 3, Singapore

PCE were asked to review the initial schematic design developed by others and reduce structural intrusion impacting the see-through façade. By adopting a fresh approach, it was determined that the internal structure could be completely removed by suspending and cantilevering a lightweight roof structure from the overhead airport passenger footbridge and bearing the large glass façade panels directly onto the terminal floor to be laterally restrained by the roof.
