Jeff Koons Hulk Sculpture Exhibition
Several Jeff Koons Hulk sculptures and other works of art were displayed in the Gagosian Gallery in 2014. The gallery is located within a 100 year old listed building that had not been designed to support the concentrated 1.2 tonne weight of each sculpture. PCE undertook an assessment and demonstrated that subject to local crowd control, the sculptures could be safely displayed in the gallery without the need for secondary strengthening. The client had anticipated a need to lift the existing oak floor in order to install steel plate strengthening based on past advice and was delighted to save the time and cost associated with this advice.
